The room includes a bunk bed setup, with apparently hand-made bunk bed and speaker system, one sitting on a couch with another standing among multiple hanging plants. The walls are covered in framed pictures or illustrations, a poster for 'Design Village 77', possibly architecture students. Several other hand-drawn posters hanging on the wall, with a book open on the desk.

Based on the January 27, 1983 Cal Poly Report, the computer numerical controlled milling machine pictured was donated by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation via an educational grant. A plaque on the machine describes this information, as well. Three people stand around the machine, discussing a part. It's people I can't stand!' hanging with multiple group photos; multiple pieces of paper including an award, calendar; and other items on a small shelf including a box of Cheer detergent, speakers and records, a basketball and frisbee, books and magazines. A piece of tape, dividing the room in half, extends on the floor and up the wall, where hanging posters and pictures fill the corkboard including a kitten hanging off a tree limb with the phrase 'Hang On Baby, Friday's Coming,' other illegible posters and flyers, and one which says 'those of you who think you know everything (illegible)' near a shelf packed with books, boxes, and different objects. A travel case is sitting on the dresser while clothes for sewing are sitting at the base of the bed.

President Theodore Roosevelt addresses a group in Santa Barbara on May 9, 1903. A few hours later, he spoke to the citizens of San Luis Obispo, praising them for their support of the new state school. Mission San Luis Obispo about 1890. Father Junipero Serra founded the mission in 1772. During the 1880s, it's adobe walls were covered with wooden clapboard siding, and a New England-style bell tower was added. These alterations were removed in about 1934, and the mission's facade and roofline were restored to their original style.
