Aeronautical engineering alumnus Captain Robert Gibson, USN Retired, has flown five Space Shuttle missions: STS 41-B Challenger in 1984, STS 61-C Columbia in 1986, STS-27 Atlantis in 1988, STS-47 Endeavor in 1992, and STS-71 Atlantis in 1995. He has spent an impressive 876 hours in space.

Description

A group of students sit and stand outside of San Luis Obispo Civic Auditorium, which was used as a residence hall during the 1920s. H. G. Warren, faculty member and dorm supervisor with his wife Mrs. Warren, is also pictured. The students are visibly varying in age and all wear a similar uniform. The students organized themselves as the "Aud Club" and the photo is reproduced in the 1928 El Rodeo Yearbook on page 46.
