Probably the funeral of San Luis Obispo Mission Reverend Marie Appolinaire Roussel (also spelled Rousell), which took place on or near 28 January 1891.

Back of postcard reads: 'The arches of San Miguel, Archangel and its red tile roof, together with a well kept and colorful garden make it a pleasant spot to visit. Although established in 1797 its church is almost in its original condition. It is situated in the Salinas Valley, California.'
