Thirteen continuing education units are available through the conference. Workshops will take place both on campus and in the San Luis Obispo Veterans' Hall at Monterey Street and Grand Avenue. Cost is $190 and $55 for Cal Poly students. Fees include breakfasts, lunches, snacks and parking. CEUs will be granted by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, and are also available from the International Society of Arboriculture, California Certified Crop Advisors, and the Golf Course Superintendents Association. In addition to workshops led by industry professionals, University of California professors and Cal Poly professors, the conference will feature a trade show. Conference workshops include: an arboriculture symposium; fusarium in palms: biology and prevention; sharpshooter biology and control; xylella in ornamentals; giant whitefly biology and control; status of Sudden Oak Death in California; mites and Aleppo pine blight; grasses; tree and soil injection and soil drenching; compost teas as pest management; and more.
