Skip to Content Cal Poly News Search Cal Poly News Go California Polytechnic State University Sept. 30, 2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Chris Carr (805) 756-2657, ccarr@calpoly.edu Business Students to Host Fund-Raiser for International Career Conference Senior Project SAN LUIS OBISPO - A group of Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business students is hosting a fund-raising auction at the Embassy Suites Hotel on Friday, Oct. 10, at 6 p.m. The students hope to raise enough money to cover the cost of their senior project, the annual International Career Conference to be held Feb. 21. Auction items include a four nights stay in Bali, a $1,000 Chevron gift card, a Napa Valley hot air balloon ride with champagne brunch; gift certificates to Central Coast wineries, restaurants, and bed and breakfasts; and free outdoor excursions such as kayaking and skydiving. The event is open to the public. The silent auction will begin when the doors open. The live auction will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
