Donates $10,000 To Graphic Communication Institute at Cal Poly SAN LUIS OBISPO -- The Wallace Corp. recently donated $10,000 to Cal Poly's Graphic Communication Institute (GrCI) for the third consecutive year. The institute, part of the university's Graphic Communication Department, is a nonprofit entity serving the printing, publishing and imaging industry through research, testing, product evaluations, seminars, workshops and conferences. Wallace is a leading provider of "total print management" products and services to Fortune 1,000 customers. The company produces and distributes forms, labels and direct response and commercial printing services. Since its founding in 1908, Wallace has become one of the largest printers in North America. Headquartered in Lisle, Ill., Wallace maintains 45 manufacturing facilities, nine distribution and warehousing hubs, and 150 sales locations in strategically located market areas, according to Cal Poly Graphic Communication Department Head Harvey Levenson. "This gift from Wallace is a testimony to industry's recognition that to remain competitive it is crucial that research and education benefiting the industry be supported," Levenson said.
