Skip to Content Cal Poly News Search Cal Poly News Go California Polytechnic State University Feb. 7, 2003 Contact: Haley Myers (805) 756-1600 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Author Val Tripp To Discuss Experiences of Life in India SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Val Tripp, who recently returned from living in India, will speak at the next Women's Words presentation from 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 11 in Room 218 in the University Union at Cal Poly. Tripp wrote a personal narrative about her visit to India, and she will share her perspective and unique experience of living there. The free event will include light refreshments and is open to the public. The Cal Poly Women's Center started the series "Women's Words, Casual Conversations About Things That Matter" as an informal gathering that offers the public a chance to meet and speak with inspirational women in the community, according to Haley Myers, a Cal Poly student and student coordinator of the Women's Center. Women's Words presentations are scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month.
