Opening the forum at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 will be a presentation on "Global Practice on the Pacific Rim" by Peter W.T. Wong, principal of design at ED2 International, Architects & Planners, a planning, architecture and interiors firm headquartered in San Francisco. Wong, an internationally respected and award-winning designer, has lectured before at Cal Poly and other universities. He is the designer of the BART light-rail station now almost completed at San Francisco International Airport. "An event like this truly provides opportunities for both students and professionals," said Samuel Harper, CSI student chapter president and coordinator of the forum. "It provides a chance for students to interact with professionals and have a glimpse into their field outside of the classroom. Professionals have the opportunity to meet Cal Poly students who will soon be pursuing positions in the design and construction fields." 10/2/2009 1:54 PM Cal Poly Hosts Construction Sciences Forum Jan. 30-31 2 of 2 file:///X:/Copyright/Submissions/_PressReleases%20&%20Cal%20Pol...
