"This classical ballet will no doubt thrill audiences everywhere with its romantic spectacle, fairy tale whimsy, and accomplished dance technique." (Winnipeg Free Press) "The company has never looked more resplendent, more assured, or more ravishing...A jewel box of sumptuous dancing...at every moment, the energy and youth radiating from the stage is palpable." (The Vancouver Sun) Cal Poly Arts presents the full-length story ballet, complete with a live orchestra performing Tchaikovsky's lush score. "The Sleeping Beauty" takes audiences on a magical journey to an enchanted kingdom where good triumphs over evil through a single kiss. Acclaimed by audiences and critics for their versatility, technical excellence, and captivating style, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet is in demand for more than 150 performances every season.
