During the interactive stage of the event, Jan. 27-30, blank canvases will be hung in the gallery, and anyone interested is invited to stop by and create a work of art that expresses the exhibit's title, "Inside Voices - Art and Body Images." Materials will be provided to any one who wants to participate. The work will be unveiled during a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 31. The exhibit will remain open through February. The gallery is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. "This art exhibition is for the education and enjoyment of Cal Poly students" said Matt Grummer, student supervisor of the UU Gallery. "It is also intended to raise awareness of the phenomenon of 'body image.' The show is also designed to give students and members of the community an opportunity to express their feelings in art through an interactive art project." For more information, contact Grummer at 756-6119. The exhibit is sponsored by ASI Events and the UU Gallery.
