This collection contains the correspondence, photographs, project files, and drawings of architect Carleton Winslow, Sr., who is known for his work on the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 in San Diego, the Los Angeles Public Library headquarters building, as well as churches and residences in Southern California and Santa Barbara. Description

Details of the sanctuary embellishment include the tester, riddles, and wall paintings, as well as a 'direct reflected plan of soffit.' The latter detail uses letter symbols to indicate how the soffit will be decorated, the symbols corresponding to apostles, evangelists, angel's wings from the diocesan coat of arms, and stars.
