McPhee (1933-1966) California was the birthplace of the Mission Revival style, popular from the 1890s to the 1920s. The style was employed extensively throughout the western United States due in large part to the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Railroads adopting this style for their stations. Building named for Joseph Cotchett, Cal Poly 1960 (Engr). Graduated from Hastings Law School. Named one of nation's 100 most influential attorneys. Donated to Education funds.;
